CELERON 300A PPGA ( 450/464 mHz.) with SLOT-1 MS6905 V. 1 PPGA to  SLOT-1 CONVERTERS

DUTCH AUCTION - EIGHT CPU's AVAILABLE

These are Celeron 300A PPGA CPU's with modified MS6905 PPGA to Slot-1 converters to run at 450/464 Mhz. on select motherboard with the Intel BX chip set.  Bus speeds are set to 100 or 103 Mhz.

NOTE: These are new  excess inventory left over from a project used to build DUAL PROCESSOR SERVERS. These  CPU's are fully burned in and are stable and guaranteed to run at 450Mhz. Most will run at 464 Mhz. but I guarantee them for 450 Mhz. operation at their normal core voltage setting- 2  Volts..They were run in dual/single processor mode with the following Motherboards and components:

SYSTEM -1
DFI Dual Slot-1 Motherboard , BX Chipset Model DFI-P2XBL/D- Award Bios 4.51
Matrox Milleneum G200 PCI 8 meg Video Card

OPERATING SYSTEMS USED:
Windows 95/98
Windows NT-4 Workstation Serv. Pak 3/4
Windoes NT-4 Server
Linux - Red Hat 5.4/6.0

As observed from the above, these CPU's are very stable and run at their normal 2 Volt core voltage. and the mix of the above components represent a very varied and wide selection of components that are typical of a home/business system.

To maximize the benefits in  dual  processor modes, you need to run Windows NT or Linux. The MS6905 are one of the best and most stable PPGA to SLOT-1 Adapter boards. The processors are fitted with a hefty heatsink and a highly efficient ball bearing fan. They have a three pin connector with the  yellow sense wire. The bios reports their RPM speed when used with the proper motherboard. Pls. see pictures below.

NOTE: IMPORTANT- I had no luck with these processors running in TYAN motherboards and may have been due to the fact that their DUAL SLOT Motherboards 1998-early 1999 models use a AMI Bios. If you have one of these motherboards or are planning to purchase dual slot motherboards, and want to bid, I suggest you purchase the above motherboards or any with an AWARD bios. These CPU's are NOT guaranteed to run on motherboards with the AMI bios.

This is a DUTCH auction. I suggest you bid for two or more if you plan to use dual slot motherboards.Highest bidders will pay by money order or cashier's check and for all shipping costs. NO RESERVE!! These are prized to sell.

NOTE: As you will find out in the web, the 300A's which are difficult to find, are the best overclockers. The 333, 366, 400 are not good overclockers. Get the best- This is a rare opportunity to build dual  450/464 Mhz. servers for as little as $600
per CPU Chassis.
